Candlestick Holder Revamp

Candlestick Holder Revamp {Thrifty to Nifty #2}
Here’s my next Thrifty to Nifty project! I found this during the winter months (first showed it to you here, a little) and it came with a hurricane glass:

I don’t think that’s the original glass it came with. The proportions don’t seem to work. Anyway I cleaned up as much of the wax as I could, lightly sanded it and spray painted it with this:

I liked how Christini Yogini did her bathroom fixtures in oil rubbed bronze with copper accents and thought I could do something similar on this here candle holder. So here it is in after being sprayed with the bronze:

And here’s what I ended up with after adding some copper accents (tutorial here):

I like it!! Oh, and I couldn’t remove the pilar candle holder in the center because the screw is stripped. So I had my strong husband do it when he came home 🙂

Then I stuck in this vase I had. The proportion of the glass to the pedestal holder is a lot better than the hurricane glass, don’t you think?

Here’s some variations:

Fall is approaching!!! 🙂

So many possibilities! Yay!

Have you done any Thrifty to Nifty type things lately? I’d love to see them!

So much fun!

Hope you’ve had a great week!
